Our Staff

Mark Sherman is the president and owner of the Mark Sherman CPA firm in Las Vegas. He’s a certified public accountant in Nevada and California with an exceptional background. Mark graduated from the California State University at Northridge, following which he worked for the nationwide accounting firm BDO Seidman.

Mark has handled corporate banking for Avery Dennison Corporation and worked as the Controller/CFO for Steel Engineers Incorporated. He is currently a member of the Nevada Board of Accountancy and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mark personally meets with and councils all new and existing clients.

Samantha Perry is an Enrolled Agent (EA) and our Tax & Accounting Manager with nearly two decades of dedicated service at Mark Sherman CPA. Over her 19-year tenure, Samantha has served as a cornerstone of the firm’s tax and accounting practice.  As an EA federally licensed to represent taxpayers before the IRS, Samantha specializes in navigating complex tax regulations with clients and managing the firm’s day-to-day operations.  In her leadership role, she combines technical precision with a supportive management style, mentoring staff, shaping workplace policies, and maintaining the firm’s high standards of accuracy, integrity, and client service. Samantha loves spending time outdoors with her husband and her dogs, Odin and Freya, which you may see in the office from time to time.

Shannon Lewis is the staff account and enrolled agent with 16+ years of experience preparing tax returns. She helps clients across numerous industries plan and achieve their financial goals through various tasks, such as bookkeeping, tax planning, and financial and tax preparation. In addition to that, Shannon is a dedicated wife and mom of four, and she loves working at MSCPA because it’s a close-knit family of coworkers and clients.

Kayla Novotny is the senior staff accountant at Mark Sherman CPA. She is a third-generation Las Vegas native with 18+ years of experience in accounting, she has a Master of Science-Accounting. Kayla specializes in business taxes, financial preparation, and divorce financial analysis.

Tiffany Mitchell is the Director of Client Relations at Mark Sherman CPA. She ensures that the firm maintains optimal performance and that all new and existing clients are continuously satisfied with their experience. With her 15+years of experience in customer service and passion for helping others, she has built a solid foundation within our client relations.

Sarah Eakins is the Executive Assistant at Mark Sherman CPA. She works side by side with Mark and Samantha handling IRS Audits and IRS Correspondence. She also handles all Secretary of State filings for clients such as annual list & business license renewals, name changes, dissolutions, and registered agent changes. She is also licensed as a Notary Public for the State of Nevada

Sarah Hernandez is our Staff Accountant with more than 10 years of experience helping individuals and businesses navigate their accounting needs with confidence. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and has extensive experience in tax preparation, payroll filings, account reconciliations, and bookkeeping cleanups to ensure clients’ financial records are accurate and tax-ready. Sarah is highly proficient in QuickBooks and enjoys helping clients resolve accounting issues and maintain organized financial information. She is known for her attention to detail, responsive communication, and commitment to making the tax process as smooth and stress-free as possible. Sarah takes pride in building lasting relationships with clients by providing reliable guidance and personalized service. Whether assisting with tax preparation or cleaning up financial records, she is dedicated to delivering accurate, dependable results that clients can trust.

Jennifer Hayes is a Staff Accountant at Mark Sherman CPA. She has 14+ years of experience, thriving in financial cleanup for businesses. Having relocated from Boston to Las Vegas with her two children, she balances her dedication to accounting with a love for family time.

Amanda Condley is our Technical Services Administrator at Mark Sherman CPA. She facilitates communication and important paperwork between our clients and the technical staff. She provides support to all in office staff to ensure the maximum efficiency of the office as well as the best client experience possible.

Jade Aiken is our Front Office Manager, coordinating communication between the firm’s accountants, administrative staff, and clients to keep projects moving efficiently and deadlines on track. She enjoys building relationships with clients and supporting her team behind the scenes. She takes pride in helping things run smoothly so both clients and staff can focus on what they do best.

Courtney Prouty is our Project Coordinator, playing a key role in keeping our tax team organized and ensuring a seamless client experience. She manages the flow of incoming work, supports our tax preparers throughout the preparation process, and works closely with clients to gather the information needed for accurate and timely tax filings. With a strong focus on organization, communication, and client service, Courtney helps keep projects on track and ensures every step of the tax process runs as efficiently and smoothly as possible.

Kalese Lund is one of our Technical Services Administrators at Mark Sherman CPA and is dedicated to creating a smooth, positive experience for our clients and our team. Drawing on 15 years of customer service experience and 10 years of administrative support, she coordinates communication and manages important documentation between clients and our technical staff, helping every project stay on track and keeping daily operations running efficiently. Her attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and commitment to excellent service help ensure a seamless experience for everyone involved.

Destiny Willow is our Customer Service Assistant. She assists with scheduling appointments and helping ensure that each client is connected to the appropriate member of our team. With over 15 years of Customer Service experience, she aims to make each client feel welcomed and appreciated. Destiny appreciates spending time with her family, her pugs, and also enjoys painting in her free time.

Back in 2011, our firm hired an exceptional staff accountant that quickly learned and grew with us to become an integral part of our accounting team. Cauleen had a personality that was larger than life and it was a pleasure having her on our team. She loved working with people, had a wonderful work ethic, and was just an all-around kind loving person. Cauleen enjoyed traveling with her husband, riding her motorcycle, seeing the latest blockbuster film, and spending time on the river with her three dogs. Chicken phalanges (as she called them) were her favorite meal and we could always count on her to have some ramen noodles in her desk when we forgot our lunch.

On Friday, September 11th, 2020, she suddenly passed away from an unknown medical condition. Our sorrow is immeasurable and we deeply grieve her loss. Our hearts go out to her husband, Shad, her son Kazen, and her grandchildren.
